The successful applicant will be responsible for the protected and efficient delivery of timber, engineered wood products and building materials to construction sites and customers throughout Sydney and surrounding areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate HR trucks fitted with HIAB / vehicle-loading cranes
Safely load, secure, transport and unload timber and building materials
Use the HIAB crane to unload materials safely and accurately on construction sites
Conduct daily vehicle and crane safety checks
Ensure loads are correctly restrained and compliant before leaving the yard
Maintain delivery paperwork and obtain proof of delivery
Communicate professionally with customers, builders and site personnel
Maintain trucks and equipment in a clean and presentable condition
Follow Allied Forest Products' WHS and site safety procedures
Assist with loading and general yard duties when required
REQUIREMENTS
Current HR Driver Licence
Proven experience operating a HIAB or similar vehicle-loading crane
Relevant crane licence/ticket where required
Good knowledge of Sydney roads and construction sites
Experience delivering timber or building materials is highly regarded
Strong understanding of load restraint and protected transport practices
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
Good communication and customer service skills
Strong commitment to workplace safety
