We are looking for a Commercial Legal Manager to join a global infrastructure and construction business for a secondment in Sydney.

This role will report to the Head of Legal and provide hands-on legal and commercial support across a broad range of projects, tenders and commercial agreements. It will suit a lawyer who enjoys working close to the business, understands complex contracting settings and can provide practical, commercial advice in a quick-moving setting.

The Role

You will support the business on matters including:
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
Contract risk review and advice
Supporting internal stakeholders on legal and commercial issues
Assisting with contract management, governance and general legal matters
Working closely with project, commercial, procurement and operational teams.





About you
Admitted as a lawyer in Australia with at least 5 years PQE
Bachelor of Laws with current practicing certificate
Experience supporting tenders, procurement or project delivery
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
The confidence to work directly with senior business stakeholders
A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
Experience in construction, infrastructure, transport or major projects will be highly regarded.

This is an initial 6-month contract, with potential to extend.
