Reporting to the Mountain Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, testing, fault-finding and repair of ropeway systems and associated mechanical infrastructure across the resort. The role also supports broader resort maintenance activities, infrastructure projects, emergency response, and winter operations. Working within a remote alpine setting, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability and operational readiness of Charlotte Pass Snow Resort's lift network and mechanical assets.

Key responsibilities
Inspect, maintain and repair ski lifts and ropeway systems
Complete operational and technical lift inspections
Maintain grips, carriers, towers, sheaves, tensioning and braking systems
Assist with statutory inspections, component overhauls and commissioning activities
Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant and equipment
Fault-find and repair hydraulic, drive and mechanical systems
Undertake welding, fabrication and workshop activities
Assist with infrastructure maintenance projects
Participate in emergency response and lift evacuation procedures

About you
Trade qualification as a Fitter, Mechanical Tradesperson or equivalent




Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical maintenance
Current Driver Licence
Construction White Card
Ability to work safely at heights
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Ropeway or ski lift maintenance experience highly regarded
Working at Heights certification highly regarded
Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence highly regarded
