About the role

You will play an significant role in the day-to-day operation of our hire fleet, helping ensure our excavators, skid steers, trailers and attachments are maintained to a high standard and ready when our customers need them. This is a hands-on and diverse position for someone who enjoys working with machinery and takes pride in keeping equipment well maintained, clean and ready for hire.

Key responsibilities
Inspecting machinery when it returns from hire
Completing pre-hire and post-hire equipment checks
Identifying and reporting damage, faults and maintenance requirements
Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
Basic mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault finding and repairs
Greasing, refuelling and preparing machines for hire
Washing and detailing machinery
Checking tracks, tyres, hoses, pins, bushes, buckets and attachments
Assisting with machinery and attachment repairs




Keeping accurate service and maintenance records

About you
Reliable, punctual and willing to work
Mechanically minded and confident around machinery
Able to work independently and use initiative
Practical with valuable problem-solving skills
Safety conscious
Organised and takes pride in their work
Comfortable with physical and outdoor work
Able to spot potential mechanical problems before they become major breakdowns
Current driver's licence required
Experience with earthmoving machinery, excavators, skid steers, diesel engines, hydraulics, trucks, agricultural machinery or similar equipment would be highly regarded
