Kitchen Hand – Last Chance Tavern

Last Chance Tavern is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our team in South Hedland.

This is a great chance for someone who enjoys working in a busy hospitality environment and is happy to get stuck in and support the kitchen team wherever needed.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Hand, you will work closely with our chefs and kitchen team to help keep the kitchen running smoothly, safely and efficiently.

Your duties will include:
Washing dishes, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment
Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and food preparation areas
Cleaning benches, floors, cool rooms and storage areas
Assisting chefs with basic food preparation as required
Receiving, unpacking and storing deliveries
Removing rubbish and maintaining waste areas
Restocking kitchen supplies and ingredients
Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
Assisting with general kitchen duties during busy service periods
Supporting the kitchen team as required

About You

We are looking for someone who:
Is reliable, punctual and has a strong work ethic
Can work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment
Is willing to learn and take direction
Works well as part of a team




Has valuable personal hygiene and understands the importance of kitchen cleanliness
Is physically capable of undertaking manual kitchen duties
Is available to work a adaptable roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Has previous kitchen or hospitality experience – preferred but not essential

Location

This position is based at Last Chance Tavern in South Hedland, Western Australia.

Please note: This is not a FIFO position.
