Mechanical Plumber

MCM Plumbing Services is seeking an experienced Mechanical Plumber to join our Sydney team.

This is a full time role working across mechanical services projects throughout Sydney. Our core work is mechanical pipework, with a strong focus on copper, including chilled water, heating water, condenser water and plantroom installations.

The ideal candidate will be confident installing mech pipework, reading drawings, piping up units, installing main runs and working in plantrooms. Experience with Stainless & carbon steel pipework, pipefitting and TIG welding is highly regarded, but the main requirement is someone who can jump in, work independently, and produce quality work.

The role will also include weekend overtime opportunities as required. We are looking for someone reliable, motivated and keen to become a long-term part of our growing Sydney team.

Successful applicants must:

Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in mechanical pipework.

Be confident with copper installations including chilled water, heating water and condenser water systems.

Be able to install main runs, plant pipework and unit pipework confidently.





Be able to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics.

Be reliable, motivated and willing to work as part of a close knit team.

Be adaptable to travel to different Sydney sites as required.

Be available and willing for weekend shutdowns and overtime when required.

Hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence and WHS White Card.

Have their own hand tools.

Highly regarded but not essential:

TIG welding experience.

Stainless steel / carbon steel pipework experience.
