About the role

This role will mainly involve Supported Independent Living (SIL), with additional shifts available in day programs.

In SIL, you will support participants with daily routines, independent living, personal care, meal preparation, household tasks and community access.

In day programs, you will help participants to access the community, enjoy activities and work towards their individual goals.

Across both settings, you will respect each person's choices and provide support that suits their needs. Shifts include weekday mornings and evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.

Key responsibilities
Support participants with daily routines and independent living
Provide personal care assistance
Prepare meals and manage household tasks
Facilitate community access and activities
Support participants to work towards their individual goals
Follow support plans and maintain skilled boundaries
Write accurate shift notes
Work independently and as part of a team

About you




Experience supporting people with disability, including personal care
Certificate III in Disability/Community Services, or equivalent or willingness to obtain
Availability for weekday mornings and evenings, weekends, and sleepovers
A current driver licence
A registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
Completion of required NDIS worker training modules, or willingness to complete them
A current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain
Solid communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
