DKR is currently looking for a passionate and self-motivated Transport Allocator. This position is based at our customer’s site in Crestmead, QLD. The Transport Allocator will ensure all key metrics are achieved on a daily basis including safety, service, cost and that customer expectations are exceeded in accordance with DKR Logistics policies and guidelines.

Working Monday to Friday Weekends /public holidays when required, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating up to 30 trucks a day within allocated time slots to stores across metro & regional SE QLD.

Reporting to the Transport Supervisor, The Transport Allocator will be responsible for:
Driving DKR Logistics Safety Standards at all times.
Improving fleet management and staff utilisation including leave management and maintenance scheduling.
Working closely with client’s despatch team to ensure all relevant paperwork is completed and the work is allocated to the relevant driver to ensure it leaves the DC on time to meet designated delivery time (store window).
Coordinating rosters, load plans and other operational issues on a day to day basis.
Build a successful relationship with in office customers through constant communication.




Ensure continued and improved service delivery by coordinating fleet and staff as required.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
Previous experience in a Transport Allocator environment, with sound knowledge of scheduling, allocating and despatch.
Robust work ethic with a passion for industry and commitment to continuous improvement.
High customer services focus, excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders on all levels.
Intermediate level of computer literacy.
High attention to detail with strong organisation skills, time management and ability to resolve problems.
Working knowledge of statutory WH&S; and COR regulations
