Black Rock Inn, located in Blackwater, is looking for a motivated Kitchen Hand / Cook to join our friendly hospitality team at our in office restaurant 21 Doon. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build your confidence and further develop your cooking skills within a busy restaurant and accommodation environment. Working alongside our experienced chef, you'll assist with food preparation, cooking, kitchen service, cleaning and maintaining high food-safety standards. You'll support the delivery of quality meals for motel guests, local diners, functions and corporate groups.

Key responsibilities
Assist with food preparation and cooking
Cleaning and maintaining high food-safety standards
Support the delivery of quality meals for motel guests, local diners, functions and corporate groups
Work efficiently in a busy kitchen
Work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

About you
Available Monday to Friday - Dinner Service Only (some weekend work for functions)
Previous kitchen or hospitality experience




A genuine interest in food and cooking
A willingness to learn and develop new skills
A positive, practical and can-do attitude
The ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen
A reliable team player who is happy to get involved wherever needed
Good communication and time-management skills
An understanding of kitchen hygiene and food-safety requirements
Hands-on experience across food preparation, cooking and kitchen operations
