Disability Support Workerer (Complex Care)

Location: Henty, NSW

Work Type: Casual / Ongoing Shifts/ Regular Shift Patterns

Pay Rate: $39-$49/hour

n

Make a real difference in our client's life while keeping the flexibility to live your own. This role offers monthly rosters based on your availability, along with a structured onboarding program, buddy shifts and paid training so you feel supported from day one - plus hand-on clinical experience support a our male client, who is living in a homecare setting with a complex spinal cord injury.

Must be available for:

2x shifts: 6:00am-14:00pm
n
2x shifts: 18:00pm-23:00pm
n

The Role: Disability Support Worker

n

n
Manual Handling (Hoist)
n
Personal care
n
Medication administration
n
Bowel Care management
n
Have knowledge of Autonomic Dysreflexia
n
Domestic assistance
n
Light household duties & meal preparation
n
Continuous clinical assessment of client




n
Personal care including skin integrity management and pressure area care
n
Support the client with activities at home and out in the community
n

What You'll Bring

n

Previous Spinal Cord Injury experience
n
Manual handling experience (essential)
n
Current accredited First aid and CPR
n
NDIS Screening Clearance
n
Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
n
Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)
n
Minimum Certificate 3 in health care.
n
Right to live and work within Australia
n
Valid Australian Driver's License
n
