Sydney - Western suburbs | Full time | Standalone Senior Payroll Officer Opportunity

RED Appointments is partnering with a well-established engineering company to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll Officer.

n

Working closely with the broader Finance team, this is a hands-on end to end role responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, superannuation, payroll tax and statutory reporting.

n

This opportunity would suit an experienced payroll qualified who enjoys working in a busy operational environment and has strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Enterprise Agreements and compliance requirements.

Hours: MONDAY to FRIDAY (38 hr working week)

n

The Role:

n

As Senior Payroll Officer, your responsibilities will include:

n

n
End-to-end payroll processing, including salaries, tax, superannuation, leave and workers compensation
n
Ensure compliance with legislation, Enterprise Agreements and internal policies
n
Maintain accurate employee records and complete payroll reconciliations and reporting
n
Manage statutory payroll obligations and support audit requirements
n




Partner with Finance to maintain payroll data integrity
n
Support payroll systems, technology improvements and automation
n
Provide payroll advice to employees and managers and liaise with external stakeholders
n

About You:

n

To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:

n

n
Demonstrated experience in a Senior Payroll Officer or similar payroll position
n
Strong end-to-end payroll processing experience for both a blue- and white-collar workforce
n
Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and statutory requirements
n
Experience interpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements and interpreting Awards
n
Knowledge of PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and other payroll-related obligations
n
Robust payroll reconciliation and reporting skills
n
Experience working with payroll and time and attendance systems
n
Understanding of payroll General Ledger interfaces
n
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
n
