Job Description

We are adding another Supervisor to the team and seek project management skilled applicants.

This position is based in Cairns, Monday to Friday, above award salary and package with Collins Constructions a Commercial Construction company now in its 11th year.

n

Candidates must have a minimum of 1–2 years of construction supervision experience.

n

Commercial construction experience is preferred for this position.

Required

n

n
proven ability to manage multiple project budgets.
n
proven ability to use gantt charts to manage multiple projects.
n
proven ability to bring multiple projects to completion on time and on budget.
n
proven ability to communicate with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
n
Must be competent in the use of a computer and a range of software including cloud-based services.
n
Competency in any cloud-based platform is required for this role.

Mandatory (Must Have) Qualifications

n

n
Must have a Certificate 4 Building and Construction and QBCC Site Supervisor Licence or the ability to obtain both in the 6-month qualifying period.
n




Must have a Current open manual driver's licence
n
Must have or immediately complete an application for a Qld Working Safely with Children Card
n
Have or immediately complete a Working Safely at Heights Certificate
n
Have or immediately complete a National Criminal Check
n
Have or immediately complete a First Aid Certificate
n

The role requires you to work on:

Multiple projects and therefore an above-average ability to plan and manage
n
Experienced in work planning and the use of gantt charts.
n
An eye to implement efficiencies in build, planning, equipment and labour use.
n
Skills to manage the desk-based component of the job e.g. issuing electronic purchase orders and the use of our cloud-based portal including all required documentation.
n
Supervision and leadership to Collins Constructions workers and supervision of work standards of subcontractors.
n
An ability to communicate respectfully and clearly using face to face; mobile video and other electronic communication.
n
Robust track record of WHS and environmental compliance and recording and the ability to meet standards required for different projects
