Senior Accountant | Rockhampton (Remote Option for Regional QLD)

Pure technical role with no staff management, adaptable client contact and the option to work remotely from anywhere in regional Queensland.

About The Role

This well established public practice firm based in Rockhampton, seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their Business Services and Tax team. This role is focused purely on the work itself, with no staff management responsibilities. Client contact is available if you enjoy it, or you can focus solely on the technical side if you prefer. The role is based in Rockhampton, however full work from home will be considered for the right candidate living in regional Queensland.

What You Will Be Doing
Preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships
Managing a diverse portfolio of business services and tax compliance work
Preparing BAS, IAS and FBT returns
Assisting with tax planning and advisory work




Liaising with clients and the ATO where required (optional, depending on your preference)
Working closely with the Partners on more complex matters

What We Are Looking For
Degree qualified with CA or CPA completed or progressing
Minimum 7 years' experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm
Strong technical knowledge across all entity types
Ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload
Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar practice software
Based in Rockhampton or regional Queensland
2 days WFH & flexible hours
No staff management, just focus on the work
