Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking an Early Childhood Casual Assistant (Qualified) to join the team at Curry Kids Early Learning Centre on a permanent full time basis.

What We Offer

Full Time- Stream A- Division 2- Section 2 ( Children's Services & Early Childhood Education)- Level ASS1YQY1 to ASS1YQY3- $69,000 to $75,000 per annum (depending on experience)+ Superannuation.
n
5 weeks of Annual Leave
n
Remote Area Housing Assistance ($60 per week for Renting / $90 per week for Homeowner)
n
Rostered Days Off (RDOs)
n
Personal (Sick) Leave
n
Flexible Work Arrangement available ( FWA) for the first 12 months: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (30- minute Break)

Key Responsibilities

n

n
Assist in delivering early childhood education programs in line with frameworks and standards.
n
Support children's development, wellbeing, and daily routines
n
Maintain a protected, clean, and engaging workplace.
n
Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
n
Monitor and contribute to children's learning and development records.
n
Ensure all children are supervised at all times with a strong focus on safety.
n




Assist with general duties including cleaning, laundry, and administrative tasks.
n

Has an understanding of child development and early learning frameworks

Mandatory Requirements

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
n
Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
n
Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis Certificate (or ability to obtain before commencement)
n
National Police Clearance
n
