Daly’s IGA Fresh Marketplace Koroit is currently seeking a motivated full time Deli Department Manager located at Koroit who can manage and coordinate the day to day operations of the Deli Department.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Store Manager, Group Operations Manager and Directors, your role will include but not limited to the following:
Day to day operations of the Deli Department in all areas
Oversee all aspects of stock control including ordering and product ranging
Quality control and effective management of waste
Drive sales with merchandising excellence & maximize sales opportunities
Maintain legislative compliance including country of origin & labeling requirements.
Maintain department pricing in line with market changes & promotions.
Ensure ticketing to the highest standards
Compliance to marketing campaigns & supplier agreements
Continually review and manage product categories, layouts and ranging in line seasonal produce.
Effectively manage consumables & packaging
Staff rostering in accordance with store budgets
Develop and maintain a positive team orientated culture delivering the highest level of service & quality.
Maintain a safe and hygienic setting for our customers and team
Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you must have a customer first mentality, love teamwork and have a genuine passion for retail and fresh food.
Experience is preferred in either retail or hospitality however full training can be provided for the right candidate to succeed in this role for a long term career chance.
You will enjoy working in quick paced hands on role and be capable of the physical requirements of the role including handling full cartons and pallets of stock in addition to:
Willing to work and reliable
Genuine passion for food and retail
Experience in a management or leadership position highly regarded however opportunities are available for the right person passionate to further their retail career.
