About your new role
This role will lead statutory reporting, shareholder reporting, external audit coordination and technical accounting governance for the group.
Managing a team of three, you'll own the financial statements end to end, advise the business on complex transactions, and report to the Audit and Compliance Committee on significant accounting matters.

Key responsibilities




Lead preparation of financial statements for the group and its subsidiaries, for both financial and regulatory years
Coordinate the group statutory audit, including consolidated accounts and shareholder reporting packs
Oversee monthly, half-yearly and annual reporting to shareholders
Provide technical accounting advice on acquisitions, disposals and new business opportunities
Prepare Board and Audit Committee papers on significant accounting matters
Lead the monthly balance sheet review process across the group
Lead, coach and develop a team of three
Skills & experience
CA/CPA qualified with strong technical accounting expertise
Experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements in a listed, regulated or complex group workplace
Demonstrated experience managing external audit processes end to end
Proven experience leading and developing a team
Infrastructure, utilities or regulated industry background highly regarded
