The Role

We have an exciting chance for a highly skilled and passionate Collections officer to join their friendly growing team. Working in-house you will be responsible for a set portfolio of small to medium business accounts. You will be responsible for all aspects of account management and arrears collection for your portfolio, with transparent and achievable targets.
/n
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of three years of experience in a commercial or consumer collections workplace, with a proven ability to manage collections, negotiate effectively, problem-solve customer issues and work consistently to targets.
Alexandria location, close to public transport.

What you will be doing:
/n
/n
Timely collection of outstanding debts
/n
Managing a ledger of debtors
/n
Processing of payments
/n
Negotiating payment arrangements and assistance
/n
Recommending disconnection and/or legal action to minimise financial risk
/n
Liaising with other departments to resolve account issues
/n
Investigation of illegal usage
/n
Ledger management and payment allocations
/n
Other reasonable duties as required by manager
/n

Essential skills and experience:
/n
The role requires a commercially savvy operator who is able to navigate a broad range of activities, from collections, build client relationships and handle disputes.
/n
/n
2 years plus experience in collections ideally handling commercial customers
/n
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
/n
Organisational excellence and the ability to multitask and prioritise
/n
A customer-centric mindset and commitment to delivering world-class experiences
/n
