We are looking for an experienced and reliable Kitchenhand / Kitchen Assistant / Cook to join our busy kitchen team.
About the role
Assisting with preparation and cooking of meals
Cooking basic menu items as required
Preparing ingredients for service
Assisting chefs during busy lunch and dinner services
Plating and presenting meals
Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
Keeping workstations clean, organised and well stocked
Assisting with stock rotation and storage
General kitchen cleaning and other duties as required
About you
Previous experience working in a busy commercial kitchen
Basic cooking skills and confidence with food preparation
The ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene
A reliable and hardworking attitude
The ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
Good communication and time-management skills
Availability to work a versatile roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
