Are you practical, motivated and interested in building a career in sheet metal fabrication?
CV Services Group is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Media & Signage team as a Sheet Metal Apprentice.
You'll work full-time at our Hendra facility while completing MEM***** – Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade.
This apprenticeship combines structured study with practical, hands-on experience.
You'll be supported by experienced tradespeople as you develop valuable skills in sheet metal fabrication, manufacturing and signage production.
Previous industry experience is not required.
We're looking for someone with the right attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in building a long-term trade career.
EARN WHILE YOU LEARN
As part of the apprenticeship, you will:
Complete MEM***** – Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade
Receive paid, permanent full-time employment while completing your qualification
Gain practical experience in a busy fabrication and signage environment
Receive structured training, mentoring and ongoing support
Develop transferable skills to support your long-term trade career
Learn from experienced fabrication, signage and manufacturing professionals
WHAT YOU'LL BE LEARNING
Working alongside our Media & Signage team, you'll learn how to:
Measure, mark and prepare materials for fabrication
Cut, bend, fold, shape and assemble sheet metal components
Safely operate hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment




Read and interpret drawings, measurements and job specifications
Assist with manufacturing signage frames, cabinets and related components
Complete fabrication and assembly work to required quality standards
Perform quality checks and identify defects
Maintain tools, equipment and a clean, organised work area
Follow workplace health and safety requirements
Work effectively as part of a busy production team
Take greater ownership of tasks as your skills and confidence develop
No two days will look the same, giving you exposure to different fabrication processes and plenty of opportunities to develop your practical skills.
ABOUT YOU
You don't need previous fabrication or industry experience to apply.
What matters most is your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
You'll ideally bring:
A genuine interest in sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing
A positive attitude and robust willingness to learn
Good practical ability and attention to detail
The ability to follow instructions and work safely
A reliable and punctual approach to work
Good communication and teamwork skills
The confidence to ask questions and seek guidance
A willingness to complete both practical and theoretical training
A driver's licence and reliable transport—desirable but not essential,



as junior applicants are encouraged to apply
Working at Heights, EWP or Forklift tickets—advantageous but not required initially, as relevant training can be provided where required
This opportunity could be ideal for a recent school leaver, someone beginning their trade career or someone looking to move into sheet metal fabrication.
