Responsibilities
Assist in running the day-to-day kitchen duties.
Prepare, season, and cook different foods as per the menu and customer orders.
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc).
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
Communicate orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages.
Receiving, storing, stock segregation, and keep records of foodstuffs used.
Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. Use methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing cooked food with utensil.
Portion,



arrange and garnish food, and place in different platters.
Assist in supervising and training junior cooks and other kitchen staff as required.

Qualifications & Experience
Excellent English skills
The right to work in Australia
AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV in related field
Minimum of 1 year of work experience
Team management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in food safety
Positive communication skills, energy, and attitude
