AJL Heavy Equipment operate heavy machinery workshops (specializing in road transport and stevedoring industries).
AJL Marine Services is a recently established division that specialises in all aspects of ship maintenance and repair.
We have a "blue chip" customer base largely focused but not limited to Trans Bass Shipping and associated waters.

The Role
The Marine services team consists of highly qualified and experienced individuals prepared to go the extra mile get the job done and satisfy the customer needs therefore you must possess a commitment to work as a team player and have a commitment to working effectively.
Sometimes jobs don't go as planned and require the team to adapt at short notice but not lose site of the end goal (The stakes are high in shipping)




Perform welding and welding-related activities includingreading and interpreting drawings (CAD an advantage).
Perform welding in accordance with approved welding procedures and codes,
Assist with sourcing and acquisition of required materials and parts
Follow all workshop and site safety requirements.
The successful candidates must have previous workshop experience and be able to demonstrate the following essential personal attributes and skills:
An appropriate trade certification
Marine related welding experience would be advantageous but not essential (Appropriate training will be provided where required to obtain certification for specialised Marine welds)
Physically fit & enthusiastic
Ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and efficient manner.
