About Us
Australian Gold Capital is a growing national retail business operating in the physical gold and precious-metals industry.
We buy and sell gold and silver bullion and gold jewelry through our retail locations and online business.
No previous industry experience is required.
Full paid training is provided.
The Position
We're looking for a bright, motivated person with robust numeracy and positive people skills to learn our Brisbane retail operation from the ground up.
You will be trained to work directly with customers, buy and sell products, perform calculations and pricing, process transactions and understand the systems and procedures involved in operating a specialised retail location.
As your knowledge and capability develop, you will be given increasing responsibility and the chance to progress into independently operating a store.
This position could suit auniversity student nearing graduation, recent graduate, experienced retailer, salesperson or someone from an entirely different backgroundwho is looking for an unusual commercial career opportunity.
We care considerably more about your ability, attitude and willingness to learn than your previous job title.

Strong numeracy and mental arithmetic

Comfortable receiving feedback and learning from mistakes
Able to follow procedures accurately
Interested in developing substantial responsibility
Previous retail or sales experience is helpful, but not essential.
We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, including retail, sales, customer service, banking, finance, business, accounting, technology and university graduates.
We place greater importance on numeracy, commercial thinking, communication skills, reliability and the ability to learn quickly than on previous job titles.
