Become a part of an exciting chance as The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advanced Health Worker with the Central Community Care Team.
You will actively participate in the provision and delivery of services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers living within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service with the aim of enhancing social and emotional wellbeing.

This position also provides advice and the social and cultural aspects relevant to the Mental Health assessment and inputs to the development of treatment planning for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will...
Input and participate as a member of the team with assessments, therapeutic interventions, treatment and participate in case management, case reviews and planning providing cultural perspectives and advice.




Liaise and network with the relevant agencies to enhance service delivery and encourage coordinated and effective services using effective communication and consultation skills.
Be involved in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of the Service's strategies, plans, policies, and participate in continuous quality improvement activities working actively using the principles of effective team functioning.
Linking with traditional healing practices.
