Bright Start Childcare and Early Learning Centre is seeking anExperienced Early Childhood Educator - Diploma Qualified or experienced working towardto join our team in Warrnambool, VIC.
This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children and their families.
As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating nurturing, engaging and inclusive environments where children can learn, develop and thrive during their crucial early years.
What you'll be doing
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate learning activities and experiences that promote children's cognitive, emotional, social and physical development
Create secure, welcoming and inclusive classroom environments that encourage exploration, creativity and curiosity
Build positive relationships with children and support their individual learning needs and interests
Communicate regularly with families about their child's progress, development and experiences at the centre
Work collaboratively with other educators and staff members to ensure consistent care and educational standards
Support children's emotional wellbeing and help them develop social skills and resilience
Maintain accurate and comprehensive observations and documentation of children's development and learning
Implement health, safety and hygiene practices in accordance with regulatory requirements
Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain currency with best practices in early childhood education
Contribute to the continuous improvement of centre policies and practices
What we're looking for
A recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification




Demonstrated experience working with children in early childhood education and care settings
Strong knowledge of child development theories and contemporary early childhood pedagogies
Ability to create inclusive, respectful and engaging learning environments that support all children's development
Excellent communication skills with children, families and colleagues
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning and wellbeing
Sound understanding of child safeguarding, health and safety regulations and legislative requirements
Ability to plan, implement and evaluate learning programs that are responsive to children's needs and interests
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Flexibility, patience and a calm approach to working with young children
Current First Aid certification and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
