Arborist/Climber, Truck Driver experienced Groundy
Coastal Arborist Services is seeking an experienced Arborist/Climber and a Truck driver with experience as a groundy, lowering and porta wrap experience, to join our dynamic team in the Whitsundays, Queensland.
This is a full-time position based in Whitsundays QLD ****.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of our tree care operations, combining your climbing expertise with ground-level arboriculture and vehicle operation to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and safety of trees across the region whilst ensuring effective project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Perform tree climbing and rigging operations safely and efficiently, including pruning, removal and hazard reduction
Operate and maintain specialised arboriculture equipment, including chainsaws, chippers and aerial lifts
Conduct ground-level arboriculture work, including stump grinding, debris removal and site preparation
Drive and operate company vehicles and trucks to transport equipment, materials and personnel to job sites
Conduct tree assessments and provide recommendations for tree care and management
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations and industry best practices
Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used
Work collaboratively with team members to meet project deadlines
Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members where required
What we're looking for
Current arboricultural qualifications or certifications recognised in Queensland
Proven experience as an arborist/climber with demonstrated expertise in tree climbing, rigging and pruning techniques




Valid truck driving licence with experience operating heavy vehicles and specialised arboriculture equipment
Strong knowledge of tree species, health assessment and safe work practices in arboriculture
Excellent physical fitness and ability to work at heights in varying weather conditions
Current first aid certification and commitment to maintaining health and safety standards
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and work safely with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills and a reliable, professional attitude
Familiarity with local tree regulations and environmental considerations in Queensland is desirable
