Toowoomba Grammar School (TGS) is seeking a knowledgeable,passionate and dynamic Senior Mathematics Teacher to join ourSenior School on a fixed-term basis. The successful applicant willbe capable of teaching Senior QCE Mathematics, including GeneralMathematics and/or Mathematical Methods.
To attract the best candidate, the School is open to consideringfull-time or part-time arrangements and a commencement date ineither Term 1 or Term 2, ****. About TGS
Founded in ****, TGS is anindependent non-denominational day and boarding school for boyswith a total enrolment of 1,100 from Preparatory to Year 12.There are approximately 300 boarders in the School comingpredominantly from throughout Queensland, Northern Recent South Walesand the Northern Territory. The School's campus covers 20.5hectares and is located one kilometre from the centre ofToowoomba.

About the Position
TGS Teachers play apivotal role in designing and delivering innovative teachingprograms aligned with our learning philosophies and pedagogicalapproach. Your expertise will contribute to cultivating anenvironment that empowers students to become confident, independentthinkers. You will collaborate with a supportive academic team andengage with various stakeholders, including parents and felloweducators.

You will be able to todemonstrate your ability and commitment to:
Teaching Expertise
: Demonstratedproficiency in designing and delivering innovative teachingprograms aligned with Queensland and Australian curriculums. Adeep understanding of effective pedagogical practices and theability to differentiate to support all students' to improvetheir outcomes.
Subject Matter Knowledge:
Provenspecialist knowledge in the subject discipline,



encompassing acomprehensive understanding of its concepts, theories, andpractical applications. Ability to convey complex ideas in anaccessible manner and to inspire students' curiosity andengagement.
Student Engagement and Motivation:
Trackrecord of motivating and enthusing students, particularly boys,in their learning journey. Ability to create a dynamic andinclusive classroom workplace that fosters activeparticipation, critical thinking, and a passion forlearning.
Purposeful Use of Technology:
Demonstratedability to use technology and data effectively to supportteaching, learning and professional practice. Selects digitaltools intentionally and in alignment with evidence-basedpedagogical approaches, recognising that the most effectivelearning strategy may at times be technology-free.
Curriculum Development and Adaptation:
Experience in collaboratively developing and evaluatingcurriculum materials, adapting to educational trends, andintegrating innovative teaching methods. Ability to createlearning experiences that are relevant, challenging, andaligned with the school's educational philosophy.
Mentoring and Pastoral Care:
Experience orinterest in acting as a Mentor within the school's Housesystem, providing support and guidance to students in theirpastoral care groups. Ability to contribute to pastoral careprograms and promote a positive and inclusive schoolculture.
Contributions to School Community:
Demonstrated willingness and enthusiasm to actively participatein the school's co-curricular activities, House system, andpastoral care initiatives. Proven ability to contributepositively to the broader school community and itsprograms.
Professional Development and Growth:
Proactive commitment to ongoing professional development and awillingness to engage in continuous learning. Demonstratedparticipation in workshops, courses, or other activities thatcontribute to refining teaching practices and staying updatedwith educational advancements.
Alignment with School Ethos:
Deepalignment with the concept of an education designed for boys,including the ability to contextualise curriculum content anddelivery to cater to the specific needs and interests of youngmen. A passion for fostering character, responsibility, andintegrity in students.
