We offer a range of sporting facilities including: 5 Soccer fields; 1 Rugby League field: 5 Netball courts; 6 lane Bocce; Snooker and Billiards: Softball training fields; Cricket field; Indoor Cricket nets; Fencing Academy; 5 Tennis courts; and 4 Squash courts. The Position
n
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Accountant will be responsible for performing a range of accounting and financial functions to support the corporate financial obligations of Club Marconi Ltd.
n
n
The position requires strong business and financial acumen with a practical focus and exceptional stakeholder management skills.
n
n
The successful applicant will be highly organised and analytical, able to provide reliable and timely reporting to internal stakeholders and supporting the day-to-day financial transactional requirements across Club Marconi. They will also oversee auditing and reporting, fixed assets, ledger accuracy and integrity, tax preparation and provide support to the CFO.

Responsibilities:
n
• Transactional support to the business
n
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
n
• Month-end close and reporting
n
• Assist in Cashflow, Budgeting and Forecasting
n




• Full A/R Function and assistance is to be given to the A/P Function
n
• Observe monthly cash count in CSI Marconi, Scholfields
n
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
n
• Intercompany transactions
n
• Football Registrations
n
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and execute on business improvement
n
• Revenue analysis and integration of data into accounting system
n
• Provide leadership and coaching to the finance team
n
• Ad hoc financial analysis, projects, and duties
n
n
The successful applicant will have:
n
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
n
• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Business discipline – CA / CPA qualified
n
• Solid knowledge of accounting standards, statutory regulations, and tax legislation
n
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise and use your initiative
n
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
n
• 'People person' with a positive personality and a great team player
n
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
n
• Experience managing a finance team
n
• Demonstrate advanced competency in Microsoft Office skills
n
n
Desirable:
n
• Knowledge of computerised accounting program, preferably ADEPT
n
• Knowledge of AP Automation Purchase Order system Medius Flow
n
n
