Job Description
KAEFER Integrated Services is seeking a motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join the team at the Geelong Refinery. This role bridges the gap between theoretical engineering principles and real-world asset management, stepping out into the field to see designs and decisions come to life.

Key responsibilities

Support the review and verification of equipment manufacturing drawings, piping design packages, and isometrics against project standards and Australian Standards
n
Assist in planning mechanical asset life extensions or complete equipment replacements across refinery maintenance and project activities
n
Contribute to the technical specification, evaluation, and procurement of critical mechanical components and long-lead items
n
Coordinate and monitor installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities for piping, static equipment, rotating equipment, and structural components
n
Support the preparation and review of work packs, technical documentation, engineering calculations, and project reports
n
Utilise CAD and engineering software to support design reviews, draft revisions, and ensure accurate document control
n
Liaise with supervisors, project managers, contractors, and HSE personnel to ensure safe, on-time, and efficient project delivery
n
Participate in site risk assessments,



field inspections, and quality management system compliance

About you

A recent or upcoming graduate with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or expected graduation soon)
n
Eager to learn, with a strong interest in piping infrastructure, static/rotating equipment, and design reviews
n
A proactive communicator who thrives on solving complex, real-world engineering puzzles in a dynamic field setting
n
