Lead the people function of a growing Australian healthcare group.
Scope Healthcare is an expanding healthcare group delivering cardiac, sleep and respiratory diagnostics, radiology and accredited healthcare education. With a growing workforce and multiple clinical locations, we are looking for an experienced People & Culture Manager to lead our HR function and support the next stage of our growth.
This is an opportunity for a capable HR professional who enjoys combining strategic business partnering with hands-on people management.
Working directly with our Managing Director, Directors and senior managers, you will play an important role in shaping our workforce, strengthening leadership capability and ensuring our people practices support a growing, multi-site healthcare organisation.
We are looking for someone who can provide strategic HR advice while confidently managing the operational responsibilities of the role - from recruitment and employee relations through to contracts, compliance and HR systems.
The Opportunity
As our People & Culture Manager, you will take ownership of the people function across Scope Healthcare, working closely with clinical, operational and administrative teams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
People Strategy & Business Partnering
Partner with Directors and senior managers to develop and implement practical people and workforce strategies.
Support organisational growth through workforce planning, succession planning and leadership development.
Coach and guide managers in effective people management, performance conversations and employee engagement.
Identify opportunities to improve workplace culture, retention and operational effectiveness.
Recruitment & Talent Management
Personally manage end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing and reference checks.
Prepare employment offers, contracts, variations and onboarding documentation.
Build effective recruitment processes to support workforce expansion across multiple locations.

Develop strategies to attract, develop and retain quality clinical and non-clinical employees.
Employee Relations & HR Compliance
Take ownership of employee relations matters, including performance management, grievances, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
Provide practical advice to managers on Australian employment legislation, modern awards and the National Employment Standards.
Develop, review and implement employment contracts, HR policies and workplace procedures.
Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate employment classifications, remuneration changes and payroll-related HR processes.
Support workplace health and safety, employee wellbeing and return-to-work matters.
HR Systems & Process Improvement
Take responsibility for the ongoing administration and optimisation of
Rippling
, including employee records, onboarding, offboarding, workflows and reporting.
Develop productive HR processes that improve compliance, consistency and the employee experience.
Maintain accurate employment records, staff credentials, mandatory checks and training requirements.
Prepare workforce reporting and provide meaningful insights to management.
Identify opportunities to introduce automation and improve the efficiency of our people operations.
About You
You are an experienced, commercially minded HR professional who can operate confidently at both a strategic and operational level.
You enjoy working closely with business owners and senior leaders, understand the challenges of managing teams across multiple locations and are comfortable taking personal ownership of HR matters from beginning to end.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:

Demonstrated experience as a People & Culture Manager, HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist.
Strong hands-on experience managing recruitment, employee relations and HR administration.
Proven ability to advise and influence Directors, managers and other business leaders.
Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, modern awards and contemporary HR practices.
Experience drafting employment contracts, policies, procedures and employee correspondence.
Confidence managing complex employee relations matters, including performance management, grievances and investigations.
Experience implementing practical improvements to HR processes, employee engagement and workforce management.
Excellent communication, judgement and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
Essential:
Hands-on experience administering Rippling, including employee records, onboarding and offboarding workflows, HR processes and reporting.
Highly regarded:
Experience with Employment Hero.
Experience in healthcare, allied health, medical diagnostics or another multi-site service organisation.
Familiarity with the Health Professionals and Support Services Award.
Experience supporting businesses through growth, organisational change and HR system improvements.
Why Join Scope Healthcare?
This is more than a traditional HR management position. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the growth and development of an expanding Australian healthcare business.
We offer:
A senior position with direct access to the Managing Director and leadership team.
The opportunity to take ownership of the entire People & Culture function.
A diverse working environment across clinical, professional and administrative teams.
The ability to influence workforce planning, management practices and employee development.
The opportunity to improve and further develop our HR systems and processes.
A competitive remuneration of $120,*******,000 per annum.
