Foodservice Sales Representative - Maryborough

Rum City Foods is a local, family-owned and operated foodservice distributor with depots in Bundaberg, Maryborough, Gladstone and Rockhampton. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Foodservice Sales Representative to join our Sales Team, based in the Maryborough / Fraser Coast region.
n
This is a hands-on sales role focused on supporting and growing our existing customer base, developing strong customer relationships and actively identifying new business opportunities throughout the region.
n
Previous sales experience is a mandatory requirement for this position, with experience in the foodservice or a related industry highly regarded.
n
About the Role
n
As a Foodservice Sales Representative, you will spend a significant portion of your time on the road meeting with customers, building relationships and identifying opportunities to grow sales.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Manage and develop relationships with existing customers through regular face-to-face visits and ongoing contact.
n
Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout the Maryborough / Fraser Coast region.
n
Promote Rum City Foods' product range and identify opportunities to increase customer sales.
n
Work towards and achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs.
n
n
Prepare for and conduct regular customer visits.
n
n
Process customer orders and follow up enquiries as required.
n
Provide a high level of customer service and respond promptly to customer needs.
n




Work collaboratively with our Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing and Operations teams.
n
Maintain accurate customer, sales and activity records.
n
Keep up to date with products, promotions, pricing and industry opportunities.
n

About You
n
To be considered for this position, you will have:

Previous sales experience – mandatory.
n
Robust sales, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
n
A proactive approach to identifying and developing new business.
n
A genuine customer-first approach.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
The ability to work independently, manage your time and plan customer visits effectively.
n
Confidence working towards sales targets and KPIs.
n
Good computer and data-entry skills.
n
A current Australian Driver Licence – mandatory.
n
Foodservice industry experience and/or strong food product knowledge – highly regarded.
n
The ability to adapt to changing customer and business requirements.
n
