Tyrepower Port Fairy is seeking an experienced
Mechanic / Wheel Alignment Technician
to join our team on a
full-time
basis. Based in Port Fairy, VIC ****, this role is fundamental to delivering exceptional automotive services to our customers. As a Mechanic / Wheel Alignment Technician, you will be responsible for performing a range of mechanical repairs, maintenance tasks, and wheel alignment services with precision and professionalism. This position plays a key role in maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction within the community.
Key responsibilities
Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including diagnostics, repair, and servicing
Execute wheel alignment services using modern alignment equipment and technology
Conduct vehicle inspections and provide detailed assessments of mechanical issues
Ensure all tools, equipment, and workshop areas are maintained to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness
Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair requirements, timeframes, and costs
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely job completion
Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies
What we're looking for
Proven experience in general mechanical repairs and maintenance across various vehicle types
Proficiency in wheel alignment services and operation of alignment equipment
Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to identify mechanical issues accurately
Knowledge of current automotive technologies and repair methodologies




Valid driver's license and willingness to undertake a road test if required
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Physical fitness and ability to work in varied positions for extended periods
Preference for candidates with experience in a tyre and automotive service environment
