Experienced Cook – Monday to Friday | 7:30am–3:30pm

Our Kindergarten and Long Day Care Centre in Frankston South is seeking anexperienced and enthusiastic cookto join our team.
n
We are looking for someone who takes pride in preparingfresh, wholesome and nutritious mealsand enjoys creating varied menus using quality ingredients.
n
We welcome applications from cooks with backgrounds inhospitality, catering, aged care, childcare or other commercial kitchen environments.
n
The successful applicant will:
n
Have commercial cooking experience and a genuine passion for preparing fresh, healthy and appealing meals.
n
Have experience planning and preparing varied, nutritious menus for a large group.
n
Be confident adapting meals to accommodate allergies, intolerances and individual dietary requirements.
n
Have robust knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe food handling practices.
n
Be confident with food ordering, stock control, kitchen organisation and maintaining supplies.
n




Have good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
n
Hold relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery.
n
Have good computer skills and be comfortable with basic menu planning, ordering and record keeping.
n
Be reliable, motivated and take pride in maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming kitchen.
n
Be available to workMonday to Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm.
n
Hold, or be willing to obtain, a current Working with Children Check.
n
Be willing to undertake relevant first aid training.
n
A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is desirable, or the successful applicant must be willing to undertake the qualification if required to assist with staff break coverage.
