Our Client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality precast concrete infrastructure. We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Leading Hand to join our Client's production team.
n
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating the assembly, modification, and concrete pouring of products. Reporting directly to the Precast Shed Foreman, you will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved.

About the Role
n
As the Leading Hand, you will lead the day-to-day activities of the vertical leg assembly and pouring process, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to specification.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Coordinate the setup, assembly, modification, and pouring of vertical leg formwork
n
Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
n
Oversee safe concrete pouring activities from certified work platforms
n
Drive quality outcomes and ensure finished products meet company standards
n
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
n
Complete forklift pre-start safety inspections via iPad
n
Ensure ladders, work platforms, and other safety equipment remain compliant and operational
n
Monitor raw material levels and communicate shortages to the Precast Shed Foreman
n




Identify and report quality issues, discrepancies, hazards, and incidents
n
Promote and maintain strong housekeeping standards across the assembly and pouring areas
n

What You'll Bring
n
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
n
n
Previous experience in precast concrete manufacturing, formwork assembly, construction, or a similar industrial environment
n
Leadership or supervisory experience within a production environment
n
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
n
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
n
High attention to detail and quality workmanship
n
Ability to work in a physically demanding workplace
n
n
Forklift and/or crane operating experience will be highly regarded.
n
Requirements

Fit and healthy, capable of working outdoors (experience required)
n
Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fitness testing
n
White Card - Construction Induction (mandatory requirement)
n
Reliable transport for early starts (5:00am)
n
