We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer to join a large metropolitan local government organisation on a temporary full-time contract. About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering environmental health programs and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. Key responsibilities include:
n

Conducting inspections of food premises, skin penetration businesses, cooling towers and on-site sewage systems.
n
Investigating pollution, public health and environmental incidents.
n
Assessing environmental health matters relating to development applications.
n
Providing advice and education to businesses, residents and stakeholders.
n
Preparing reports, correspondence and regulatory documentation.
n
Supporting environmental sustainability initiatives and community education programs.
n

About You
n
n
Degree qualifications in Environmental Health or a related discipline.
n
Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
n
Experience within environmental health, public health or local government.
n
Strong communication, investigation and problem-solving skills.
n
Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering excellent customer service.
n
Sound knowledge of relevant environmental and public health legislation.
n
