And you won't just be supporting an office workforce. You'll be part of the team behind the Sydney Royal Easter Show, one of Australia's largest annual ticketed events, as well as the diverse operations of the RAS.

The opportunity
This is a true generalist HR role with plenty of variety and an opportunity to develop your HR capability.
Working closely with the GM – HR & Safety, you'll support our people and leaders across the employee lifecycle and help deliver practical, responsive and professional HR services across the organisation.
You'll take ownership of end‐to‐end recruitment for our permanent workforce and play an important role in our major Sydney Royal Easter Show seasonal recruitment campaign.
You'll also:
Support managers and employees with day-to-day HR advice
Assist with employee relations matters and workplace issues
Support the interpretation and application of relevant Awards, industrial instruments, policies and employment conditions
Coordinate onboarding, employment changes and offboarding
Maintain employee information and HR records through our HR systems
Help maintain and improve HR policies, procedures and templates
Maintain organisational charts and workforce information
Support employee development and broader people initiatives
Prepare HR reports, documentation and presentations
Look for smarter and more efficient ways of doing things




This isn't a role where you'll simply process paperwork. We want someone who is curious about why we do things and wants to understand how great HR can help a business perform. You will have a great team to support you.
About you
You're someone who is ready to learn, but you're also prepared to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
You're organised, proactive and resourceful. You pay attention to the details, communicate well and can build relationships with people at all levels of an organisation.
Most importantly, you believe in good HR – HR that understands the operation, provides practical solutions, supports and develops people, and maintains strong compliance and governance.
You'll be comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change quickly, particularly as we prepare for and deliver the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
You'll also bring:
Experience in HR, recruitment, people operations or a related environment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confidence using HR systems – UKG experience would be highly regarded
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confidence dealing with a range of stakeholders
Initiative and a solutions-focused mindset
An interest in HR technology and improving processes
HR qualifications or relevant tertiary studies – highly regarded
