About the role
This is an opportunity to learn the business from the ground up, gain practical experience across multiple departments and build a foundation for a long-term career in logistics. Working alongside a supportive Operations Team, you'll gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day running of a busy transport business. You'll also spend time working with administration, accounts, safety and fleet teams, gaining exposure to how the different parts of the business work together. No previous transport or operations experience required - just an desire to learn.
Key responsibilities
Assist with transport allocation, scheduling and daily fleet operations
Communicate with drivers, subcontractors and customers to keep freight moving
Track deliveries,



monitor performance and respond to operational changes
Develop an understanding of transport safety, compliance and Chain of Responsibility
Maintain accurate records, reporting and operational data
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and everyday processes
About you
Solid communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
Positive organisational skills and attention to detail
Confidence with computers and a willingness to learn new systems
An interest in problem-solving and working in a fast-paced environment
A genuine desire to build a career in transport and logistics
Hands-on training and mentoring from experienced transport professionals
Exposure to multiple departments and real operational responsibilities
Monthly one-on-one development sessions with our General Manager
