Electrical and Energy Engineer
n
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Key Competencies
n
n
BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar/relevant);
n
More than 3 years' experience on Engineering projects, field work.
n
Willing to travel to our Afrimat sites
n
Have own vehicle and driver's license
n
Have own vehicle and driver's license
n
The candidate must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
n
n
Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)
n
n
MCC, MV/LV and switchgear design and specification
n
Electrical single line diagrams and reticulation designs
n
Cable sizing, calculations, and routing design
n
Protection philosophy and coordination studies
n
Attend and sign off on Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT),
n
Site supervision, budget preparation and commissioning of current installations
n
Good working knowledge of Control & Instrumentation (C&I;) including PLCs, VSDs,



P&IDs; and control philosophies
n
n
Energy Engineering, Including
n
n
Manage electrical energy consumption data and metering platform rollout/operations
n
Analyse site energy consumption and identify improvement opportunities
n
Support and drive energy awareness
n
Support Wheeling and Behind-the-Meter renewable projects
n
Perform Energy Audits
n
Manage relationship with Eskom and other electricity suppliers
n
Conduct designs, feasibility studies and project execution for energy initiatives
n
Create Scope of Works documentation for contractors
n
Attend site meetings to understand system requirements
n
n
