ABOUT THE ROLE
n
Andrew's Trade Services is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our growing team in Swan Hill, VIC. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical skills in a dynamic work environment. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality fabrication and agricultural maintenance services to our diverse customer base, contributing directly to the success and reputation of our business.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Performing welding operations using various techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
n
Fabricating metal structures and components according to specifications and technical drawings
n
Operating cutting equipment such as plasma cutters, oxy-acetylene torches and angle grinders to prepare materials
n
Measuring and marking materials accurately to ensure precise dimensions and fit
n
Inspecting completed work to verify quality and adherence to specifications
n
Maintaining and calibrating welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
n
Keeping work areas, tools, equipment, and machines clean and organised
n
Assisting in other areas of the business including general workshop, mechanics, and farm maintenance
n

What we're looking for
n
n
Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder
n
Proficiency in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG and stick welding
n




Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
n
Strong problem?solving skills with a resourceful approach
n
High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship
n
Physical fitness and ability to work in varying conditions
n
Reliability, punctuality and a solid work ethic
n
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
n
Skills in agricultural maintenance and repair favourable but not essential
n
n
Licences and qualifications
n
n
Licence to operate a forklift truck ticket, or willingness to obtain
n
Conduct telescopic materials handler operations ticket, or willingness to obtain
n
Work safely at heights ticket, or willingness to obtain
n
Enter and work in confined spaces ticket, or willingness to obtain
n
n
