The Operations Manager at a *****-GOT-JUNK? franchise should be a high-energy professional who is proactive and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to think and plan strategically. Ideally, a qualified Operations Manager will have experience in the different facets critical in small business: sales, marketing, administration, operations and human resources.

Salary: $85,000-$90,000 + Super + Bonuses
n
Key responsibilities of this position will include (but not be limited to):
n
n
n
Supervising a team of Truck Team Members and motivating them to achieve their goals that you have set with the assistance of the GM.
n
n
Ensuring high-quality execution for all jobs; monitoring post-job satisfaction of customers and proactively addressing any issues that arise.
n
n
Maintaining all information related to sales, estimates, job/truck and other operational details are entered in supporting information systems, ensuring all details are accurate and up-to-date.
n
n
Performing office responsibilities including the purchasing of supplies and maintaining an organised workspace.
n
n
Completion of administrative tasks as required, including payroll and payroll expense, invoicing, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
n
n
Completion of staffing tasks including recruiting, hiring, training and staff scheduling.
n
n




Completion of marketing tasks including the development and implementation of the local truck-based marketing plan as well as overseeing the plan's execution.
n
n
Build & maintain relationships with customers, realtors, property managers and other service companies within companies' target markets to increase sales and measure the
return/effectiveness
of these activities.
n
n
Perform daily truck inspections. Ensure trucks are fully outfitted with everything required to provide services
n
n
Achievement of all operational related goals.
n
n
As well as performing all the below duties, ensuring that all Truck Team Members under their supervision also perform all of the below duties:
n
n
Perform the safe removal, transportation, and unloading of junk, in accordance with our standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
n
n
Provide an exceptional customer experience for all our customers and maintain a respectful, qualified, and calm demeanour at all times
n
n
Transport and dispose of junk at authorized deposit facilities
n
n
Ensure uniform is maintained and worn in accordance with our guidelines
n
n
Perform daily truck inspections, including documenting and correcting deficiencies, and light maintenance and cleaning, when applicable
n
n
Safe operation and maintenance of all equipment
n
n




Timely call aheads to all customers to ensure on time arrival for all scheduled leads
n
n
Follow health and safety guidelines and safe driving practices as outlined by our standards and in accordance with applicable legal requirements
n
n
Complete assigned routes and assist coworker(s) when required
n
n
Provide all customers with an accurate estimate
n
n
n
n
Supervise and assist in the daily fulfillment of scheduled jobs to ensure on-time service.
n
n
Complete all administrative processing including on-time cash outs and route journals.
n
n
Ensure all team members are always in appropriate uniform.
n
n
Other duties as assigned.

To qualify, candidates must possess:
n
n
n
A great attitude and strong multi-tasking, time management skills.
n
n
3+ year of operations management experience overseeing similar duties as outlined above.
n
n
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
n
n
Strong desire to help others excel and hit goals.
n
n
Valid LR driver's license or above.
