Kingaroy Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its perioperative team on a four-week contract from 28 September to 25 October ****. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with rural and remote experience to work across a diverse theatre environment, including anaesthetics, recovery, day surgery, endoscopy, and scrub roles. The position offers up to 80 hours per fortnight, with travel costs from Brisbane capped at $200 each way, and the chance to support other hospital services as needed.
Diverse perioperative experience across anaesthetics, PACU, recovery, day surgery, endoscopy, and scrub nursing
Four-week contract with flexible on-call availability and support for broader hospital needs
Rural healthcare setting with travel support and the opportunity to work across multiple theatre specialties
Preferred Requirements




Proven experience working in rural and remote healthcare settings
Demonstrated competence in perioperative nursing across theatre, anaesthetics, PACU, and recovery environments
Experience in day surgery and endoscopy theatre settings
Ability to work as both scrub and scout nurse
Flexibility and willingness to support other hospital services when required, with on-call availability
Preferred Qualifications
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
Perioperative nursing qualification or demonstrated specialist experience in theatre nursing
Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent certification
