Key responsibilities
n
Diagnose mechanical faults using elimination techniques, strong communication skills with operators, seeking guidance from local service providers and a common sense approach
n
Prioritise repairs in accordance with farm requirements
n
Attend farming sites to diagnose and repair breakdowns in field as required
n
Liaise with local service providers to source parts and seek solutions
n
Carry out repairs to agricultural equipment to a high standard and ensure all componentry is correctly reassembled, safe for use and performing to expected standard
n
Detect where common, recurring or ongoing faults occur across fleet to seek solution with view to prevent and pre-empt ongoing failures, breakdowns and damages
n
Deliver value driven solutions with consideration for cost of repair, timeliness and workplace priorities
n




Assist with carrying out scheduled services to machinery in timely manner and as per service schedule requirements
n
Carry out mechanical safety checks, tests and inspections to ensure vehicles, machinery and plant are safe for use and performing as expected prior to tagging back into use
n
Accurately record service and repairs in maintenance record keeping system
n
About you
n
Recognised qualification in an appropriate mechanical discipline
n
5+ years experience in an agricultural or similar
mechanical/maintenance
role
n
Diligence and attention to quality of workmanship
n
A sense of urgency and ability to prioritise in a fast paced and changing environment
n
Ability to work well in a team setting
n
Self-motivated
n
Willingness to travel as required
n
Driver's licence
n
