About the DepartmentSt Augustine's is a 10-bed ward located at St. Vincent's Hospital Melbourne, providing tertiary care to male and female prisoners from the state of Victoria.
St. Augustine's is an acute medical and surgical ward providing pre-operative and post-operative care and also treats multiple medical conditions including gastrointestinal diseases, cancer and infectious diseases.
The small team of dedicated clinicians strives to provide the highest level of care to the prisoner population to ensure the best possible health and social outcomes.About the RoleAn opportunity exists for experienced Grade 2 Registered Nurses to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.
Under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or delegate, you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality patient care within our team environment.
You will be responsible for your own professional development.Classifications for this position will range between YP3 – YP9 ($86,****** - $107,****** per annum, pro rata).
DutiesManage the physical and emotional well-being of the patientAssist with medical and diagnostic procedures carried out in the unitLiaise with patient, patient's family, medical and ancillary staff as required or requestedCare for and maintain specialty equipmentDemonstrate 'best practice' clinical skills and will maintain and further develop their level of clinical competenceDemonstrate sound clinical knowledge and act as a clinical role model by providing the highest standard of direct patient careQualifications,
