About the Role
n
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Assistant to join our specialist team.
n
Working closely with our Periodontists and Oral Health Therapists, you will play an important role in supporting high-quality clinical care, maintaining efficient clinical workflows and helping to uphold best-practice standards across the practice.
n
This is an excellent chance for a Dental Assistant who enjoys working in a specialist environment and is looking to further develop their clinical skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Chairside assisting across a range of surgical and non-surgical periodontal procedures
n
Assisting with advanced surgical procedures and IV sedation
n
Maintaining high standards of sterilisation and infection control
n
Laboratory duties and intra-oral scanning
n
Providing patients with clear instructions, support and reassurance throughout their treatment
n
Assisting with reception and administrative duties when required
n
Maintaining efficient clinical workflows and ensuring rooms are prepared to a high standard

Supporting and mentoring junior Dental Assistants
n
Contributing to continuous improvement and best-practice initiatives
n
Creating a positive and professional patient experience from arrival through to completion of treatment
n

About You
n
You will be an experienced Dental Assistant who takes pride in your work, demonstrates initiative and enjoys being part of a high-performing clinical team.
n
Essential:
n
n
Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting
n
Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures
n
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
n
Ability to remain calm and focused in a busy clinical environment
n
High level of reliability, professionalism and attention to detail
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
n
n
Highly desirable:
n
n
Experience assisting with advanced periodontal or surgical procedures
n
Experience with IV sedation
n
Experience with intra-oral scanning and laboratory procedures
n
Previous experience in a specialist dental practice
