About the role n
As our
Product Support Specialist – Electrical
, you'll be the electrical subject matter expert supporting EPSA's rental generator and temperature control fleet across Australia.
n
Based in Perth, Brisbane, Adeliade or Melbourne
, you'll provide nationwide technical support to our workshop and field technicians across equipment specification, commissioning, control system configuration and complex fault-finding. Your expertise will help ensure our rental assets remain
safe, compliant, reliable and customer-ready
.

Key responsibilities include:
n
n
n
Providing specialist electrical support to workshop and field technicians across the Rental Solutions fleet
n
n
Supporting equipment specification, commissioning, complex fault-finding and technical issue resolution
n
n
Configuring and supporting control and monitoring systems, including ComAp controllers
n
n
Supporting the migration and integration of fleet assets into remote telemetry platforms
n
n
Advising sales and operations teams, project managers and engineers on generators, battery energy storage systems, chillers and HVAC equipment
n
n
Contributing technical input into EPSA's five-year strategic fleet plan and annual CAPEX process
n
n




Reviewing branch fleet assets requiring major repairs and escalating significant technical issues
n
n
Ensuring fleet assets comply with relevant Australian standards, legislative requirements and document control processes
n
n
Developing and maintaining operating, maintenance, service scheduling and fault-diagnosis documentation
n
n
Supporting the onboarding and technical development of new rental technicians
n
n
Building strong technical relationships with Caterpillar, other dealers and equipment suppliers
n
n
Providing after-hours technical support when required
n
What you'll bring n
We're looking for an experienced electrical specialist who combines strong technical capability with a practical, team-oriented and solutions-focused approach.
n
Required:
n
n
n
An
A Grade industrial electrical trade qualification
, or an
Electrical Engineering qualification supported by practical, hands-on experience
n
n
A minimum of five years' field experience within power generation
n
n
Demonstrated knowledge of ComAp controllers and control systems
n
n
Strong experience with diesel or gas engine-driven generator systems and battery energy storage systems
n
n
Proven fault-finding, troubleshooting and diagnostic capability
n
n
Experience in PLC programming and system configuration
n
n
Knowledge of Australian standards and regulations relating to generator systems and electrical installations
n
n
Experience preparing,



maintaining and controlling technical documentation
n
n
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
n
n
High-level organisational capability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and technical projects
n
n
Confidence working across multiple IT platforms
n
n
Highly regarded:
n
n
n
Technical experience with Caterpillar engines
n
n
Exposure to Atlas Copco or Sullair air compressors
n
n
Experience with York or Trane temperature control equipment
n
n
Broader experience across generators, battery energy storage, chillers or HVAC systems
n
