Caring For You Nursing Agency is seeking an
experienced, resilient and highly accountable Operations Manager
to lead a team of approximately 10 staff in a demanding, fast-paced workforce environment.
We are open to experienced managers from
any industry
. You do not need a healthcare background. What matters is that you have
at least five years of proven management experience
, have led teams in high-pressure environments and are comfortable making decisions, holding people accountable and solving problems quickly.
This is
not a passive management position
. Priorities can change by the minute. Staff can withdraw from shifts at short notice, clients require immediate solutions, phones are busy and multiple issues need to be managed simultaneously. You need to remain calm, take control and lead from the front.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance of a team of approximately 10, with a strong focus on workforce management, rostering, service delivery and operational performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, coaching and holding a team accountable to clear daily KPIs and service standards.
Managing a high-volume, fast-paced and constantly changing workload.
Managing rosters and ensuring appropriate team coverage across operating hours.
Responding quickly when staff call in sick or withdraw at the last minute and ensuring shifts are covered.
Making fast, commercially sound decisions under pressure.




Managing multiple competing priorities without losing attention to detail.
Monitoring team performance and addressing underperformance directly and promptly.
Developing contingency plans and maintaining backup staffing options.
Ensuring outstanding client service even during periods of significant operational pressure.
Building a culture of urgency, accountability, teamwork and results.
Being visible and hands-on with the team when workloads increase.
Identifying problems early, taking ownership and ensuring they are resolved.

You will be a

who is tough when required but always fair, professional and consistent.
To be successful, you will ideally demonstrate:
Minimum 5 years' management experience leading a team.
Proven experience managing approximately 10 or more employees.
Strong rostering and workforce management capability.
Experience operating in a high-pressure, high-volume environment.
Exceptional ability to multitask and rapidly reprioritise.
A demonstrated ability to manage last-minute staff absences and operational disruptions.
Confidence addressing poor performance and having difficult conversations.
Strong coaching and people-management skills.




High personal standards and the ability to establish those same standards across a team.
Excellent verbal communication and decision-making skills.Exceptional ability... etc.
Experience may come from industries such as healthcare, call centres, hospitality, hotels, retail, transport, logistics, labour hire, recruitment, security, automotive, emergency services or other high-volume operational environments.
