City Fitness is a locally owned and operated fitness centre that has proudly supported the Mackay community for over 40 years. We are passionate about creating a welcoming environment where our members feel supported, valued and part of the City Fitness family.

We are currently looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Receptionist to join our team at our City Centre Club.
n
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has a positive attitude and is passionate about health and fitness.
n
About the Role
n
As the first point of contact for our members, you'll play an important role in creating a friendly and welcoming club workplace.
n
You will work a rotating roster of morning and afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday, totalling approximately 32 hours per week, plus a rotational Saturday morning shift from 8:00am–11:00am.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Welcome and farewell members in a friendly and professional manner.
n
Provide excellent customer service and assist members with their enquiries.
n
Answer incoming phone calls and direct enquiries appropriately.
n
Open and close the club as required.
n
Perform general administration duties including filing, scanning and photocopying.
n
Assist with membership enquiries and general front desk duties.

Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming reception area.
n
Build positive relationships with members and contribute to a friendly club atmosphere.
n

n

Friendly, approachable and enjoys working with people.
n
Reliable, punctual and well presented.
n
Confident communicating with members both in person and over the phone.
n
Able to work independently and self- motivated.
n
A team player with a positive attitude.
n
Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
n
Interested in the health and fitness industry.
n
Current First Aid and CPR certification is required. A current Blue Card is preferred; however, this can be obtained after employment for the right applicant.
n
Previous experience in reception, administration, customer service or the fitness industry will be highly regarded, however is not essential for the right person.
