What We're Looking For:
n
We are seeking a proactive and professional Cleaning Supervisor to join the team at Glendale Shopping Centre, Newcastle, NSW. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail cleaning and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Flexibility is essential, as the role includes a weekend roster.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
Lead an enthusiastic team to maintain the day-to-day presentation of a high-profile shopping centre.
n
Ensure excellence in cleaning services, driving performance to meet and exceed goals and KPIs.
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, and internal/external stakeholders.
n
Oversee recruitment, on-boarding, and ongoing training, focusing on cleaning, safety, risk management, and skill development.
n
Enhance team performance, recognising and rewarding achievements.
n
Supervise compliance with industry standards, company policies, and safe work practices, including chemical handling safety.
n
Operate and maintain cleaning machinery and equipment.
n
Organise and review cleaning schedules, inspections, and audits.
n
Manage emergency and safety protocols,

Experience:
n
You will lead a team responsible for the presentation and delivery of cleaning services in a retail precinct. Key areas of experience include:
n
Leading and motivating large, diverse teams.
n
Managing rosters and payroll.
n
Clear written and verbal communication, including client liaison and reporting.
n
Hands-on experience with general detail cleaning, including mall floors, restrooms, entry points, and car parks.
n
Managing periodical cleaning schedules, basic machinery maintenance, and floor care, including carpet and high-glass surfaces.
n
Experience with floor care machinery (scrubbing & buffing) is highly desirable.
n
Preferred Qualifications:
n
Driver's license.
n
First Aid Certificate.
n
Knowledge of Work Health & Safety (WH&S;) regulations.
n
