Job Description
CIP Construction is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join our growing team in Melbourne This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality commercial and industrial projects across a dynamic project portfolio.

Reporting to the Project Manager and State Manager, you will contribute to the successful delivery of projects through effective contract administration, cost control, and stakeholder coordination.
n
The Opportunity
n
As a Contract Administrator, you will be responsible for managing contracts, supporting project delivery outcomes, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
n
You will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure seamless project execution across all phases.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Prepare, issue, and review tender packages, including scopes of work and supporting documentation
n
Assess subcontractor submissions, negotiate pricing, and manage subcontract agreements
n
Administer head contracts and subcontract contracts, including variations, EOTs and claims
n
Prepare and submit progress claims, variations, and cost reportsMonitor project budgets, cash flow, and financial performance to ensure margin targets are achieved
n
Maintain accurate project registers (RFIs, variations, EOTs, progress claims, etc.)
n
Attend project meetings and coordinate communication between stakeholders
n
Support the Project Manager with reporting, forecasting, and final account preparation
n
Ensure compliance with contract conditions and relevant legislation (e.g. Security of Payment)
n
Assist with project close-out, including as-builts, warranties, and final documentation
n

About You
n
n
Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Building or Quantity Surveying (or currently studying)
n
Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a Contract Administrator or similar role within commercial or industrial construction
n
Strong understanding of contract management, construction processes, and delivery methodologies
n
Experience with project management systems (e.g. Procore, COINs or similar)
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
Strong financial acumen and ability to manage cost control and reporting
n
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
n
