We are currently seeking experienced Cooks to join our
catering team on a casual basis.
About the Role
As a Cook, you will play an important role in enhancing the
lives of our residents by preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that meet
their dietary and cultural needs.
Working closely with the Catering Manager, Dietician and
broader care team, you will be responsible for meal preparation and cooking in
line with approved menus, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring an
exceptional dining experience for residents.
You will also support kitchen
operations, stock control and quality improvement initiatives, while assisting
with the supervision of catering staff when required.
About You
You are passionate about food, hospitality and providing a
positive dining experience for older Australians.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Minimum
12 months' experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
Previous
experience supervising or leading staff
Knowledge
of food safety standards, HACCP requirements and food handling practices
Experience
working within a team-focused environment with strong communication and
interpersonal skills
Ability
to maintain high standards of meal quality, presentation and nutritional
care
Computer
literacy with the ability to complete ordering and invoice processes
Ability
to work collaboratively within a team while also working independently
Food
