About the role
n
We are seeking a practical, curious and customer-focused apprentice to join our Service team. You will work alongside experienced technicians, build hands-on skills in the workshop and in the field, and develop into a qualified service technician through structured workplace training and formal study. The apprenticeship involves completing Certificate III in Electronics and Communications (UEE*****) through a registered training provider while working full-time with Wedderburn.

Key responsibilities
n

Complete workshop repairs, testing and equipment preparation
n
Assist with fault finding, diagnosis and repairs at customer sites
n
Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
n
Carry out preventative maintenance under supervision
n
Build capability in trade measurement verification and compliance work
n
Use digital service systems to document work accurately
n
Deliver professional, reliable customer service
n
n
About you
n
n
A genuine interest in electronics,
mechanical systems and problem solving
n
A practical mindset and willingness to learn from experienced technicians
n
Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach
n
Valuable attention to detail, organisation and safety awareness
n
Reliability, initiative and the ability to work effectively in a team
n
A current Australian driver licence, or the ability to obtain one
n
Right to work in Australia
n
Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical assessment
n
Ability to obtain a White Card where required
n
Willingness to travel and work reasonable overtime as the role develops
n
A full-time, permanent apprenticeship with paid workplace learning
n
Structured technical development and mentoring
n
Regular formal training through a registered training provider
n
Tools of trade, laptop and mobile phone as required for the role
n
